How Diamond Jewelry Is Priced
Four properties set the price of any diamond piece, and only one of them shows in a photograph. Carat is weight rather than size, though the two move together. Cut describes how well the stone was proportioned and is what makes a diamond look alive instead of glassy. Color is graded downward from colorless, and clarity records how many internal inclusions a trained eye finds under magnification.
Both lab-grown and natural stones appear across this collection, and the product description says which. They are graded on identical scales by the same laboratories, so a G color means the same thing either way. What differs is price: lab-grown material costs considerably less per carat, which at a fixed budget usually buys more size, a better clarity grade, or both.
For pieces set with many small stones - pave rings, tennis bracelets, cluster pendants - the figure quoted is total carat weight, often shown as cttw. That tells you how much diamond is present altogether, not how large any single stone is, which is worth remembering when two pieces share a cttw but look nothing alike.
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. They have the same crystal structure, hardness and optical behavior as mined stones, and standard testers read them as diamond. The difference is where they formed, and what they cost.
Do these pieces come with a grading report?
Where the supplier provides independent grading, the laboratory and the grades appear in that product description. Not every piece in the range is individually certified, so check the specific item.
