Platinum Wedding Bands

A platinum wedding band suits a ring that will never come off. Platinum is naturally white, so it never needs rhodium plating, and it is dense and heavy for its size. Over years of wear the surface softens to a satin patina that a jeweler can polish back to a shine.

The plain bands in this collection cover the main profiles. Half-round bands are domed on top and are the classic choice. Flat bands have a squared top that sits neatly beside an engagement ring. European-style bands have a flatter top and squarer sides, giving a more substantial, contemporary look. Stepped-edge and beveled-edge bands add a crisp line at the sides, milgrain bands carry a fine beaded border, and there is a knife-edge band and a hand-engraved milgrain band for something more detailed.

Most profiles come in comfort-fit and standard-fit versions, and in lightweight, standard and heavyweight options where offered. A comfort-fit band is domed inside so it slides over the knuckle easily and sits without pinching; a standard-fit band has a flatter inside and sits slightly closer to the finger. Widths and sizes are chosen on each listing, and only combinations currently available can be selected.

For a band with stones, the platinum anniversary bands are set with lab-grown or natural diamonds, including French-set designs where a V-shaped cut beneath each stone shows more of the diamond from the side. These diamond bands are stocked in a single size, size 7, so check your size before choosing one; bands with stones along the top are harder to resize than plain bands.
